Description:

Z308 is a cast iron electrode with pure nickel core and graphite type coating. It is used for both AC and DC. The welding process is good. When welding, the weldment can not be preheated, and the deposited metal has good crack resistance and processing performance.

Main application areas:

Used for repair welding of cast iron thin parts and machined surfaces, such as cylinder heads, engine blocks, gear boxes and machine guide rails.

Precautions

● The electrode before welding shall be baked at 150°C for 1h;

● The stress in the repair zone can be eliminated by hammering the weld to avoid cracking.
