Description:

Z508 is a nickel-copper alloy core, graphite type cast iron electrode, AC and DC, stable arc and easy to operate. Both processability and machinability are close to Z308, but due to the large shrinkage of the deposited metal and poor crack resistance. The welded joint is low in strength, so it is not suitable for welding with the stressed part.

Main application areas:

Used for welding repair of gray cast iron parts with low strength requirements.

Precautions

● The electrode before welding shall be baked at 150°C for 1h;

● The stress in the repair zone can be eliminated by hammering the weld to avoid cracking.
