Description:

ER385 is a 20Cr25Ni5Mo2Cu stainless steel gas shielded welding wire with extremely low carbon content and excellent corrosion resistance. It can resist the corrosion of any temperature and any concentration of acetic acid under normal pressure, which can effectively solve the pitting, pitting and crevice corrosion of halides. Problems such as stress corrosion, good welding workability, stable arc, beautiful appearance, less spatter, and all-position welding.

Main application areas:

It is used to produce towers, tanks, pipes, storage and transportation containers for various strong acids.

Precautions

● DC reverse connection during welding;

● When welding, the flow rate of CO2 or 75%~80% Ar+CO2 gas should be 20~25L/min;

● The dry elongation of the wire should be controlled within the range of 15~25mm;

● The temperature between the channels is controlled between 135 and 165 degrees. 

● Impurities such as rust,oil and moisture must be removed from the weldment before welding.
