Description:

ER5356 is an aluminum-magnesium alloy wire containing a small amount of titanium, which has good corrosion resistance and thermal crack resistance and high strength.

Main application areas:

It is suitable for argon arc welding of aluminum-magnesium alloy. It is also used in the welding of aluminum-zinc-magnesium alloy and the repair welding of aluminum-magnesium castings. It can also be used for the welding of aluminum-magnesium-manganese alloy and aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy. It is the largest amount of aluminum alloy welding wire.

Precautions

● Before welding, the impurities such as oxide film and oil stain on the welding edge of the workpiece and the surface of the wire should be strictly removed to avoid the fusion of the weld and cause defects such as pores and slag inclusions.

● In order to ensure penetration and no collapse, a pad can be used to hold the molten metal during welding.

●Aluminum gas welding flux must be used together with oxyacetylene gas welding.
