Product description

Description:

ER4043 is a general-purpose aluminum-silicon welding wire. The deposited metal has good thermal crack resistance and can guarantee certain mechanical properties. However, in the case of anodizing, the weld metal and the base material are different in color. Brittle Mg2Si can be formed in the aluminum-magnesium alloy weld to reduce the plasticity and corrosion resistance of the joint.

Main application areas:

It is used for the filling of argon arc welding and oxyacetylene welding of aluminum alloy workpieces and castings other than aluminum-magnesium alloy, especially for heat-treated reinforced aluminum alloy which is prone to thermal cracking.

Precautions

● Before welding, the impurities such as oxide film and oil stain on the welding edge of the workpiece and the surface of the wire should be strictly removed to avoid the fusion of the weld and cause defects such as pores and slag inclusions.

● In order to ensure penetration and no collapse, a pad can be used to hold the molten metal during welding.

●Aluminum gas welding flux must be used together with oxyacetylene gas welding.
